India's Bullet Train Project may create 20,000 Job opportunities-says SBI

The high speed bullet train project recently launched by PM Narendra Modi and Japan's PM Shinzo Abe has a potential to create 20,000 job opportunities says SBI.
The project will create 4,000 direct employment for maintenance and operation whereas 16,000 employment opportunities.

In addition, the introduction of the high-speed train in India will definitely bring the new opportunity of jobs and skill for young Indians, meeting the aspirations of skill India.  

The bullet train railway project that is being implemented is estimated to cost Rs 88,000 crore and the project is being funded by Japan at a nominal cost of only 0.1 % (comparable rates are of 5 -7 %) with a much larger repayment period.
PM Narendra Modi and Japan's PM Shinzo AbePM Narendra Modi and Japan's PM Shinzo Abe laid the foundation stone for this Rs 88,000 crore's project in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

Modern and world-class practices will be adopted for maintenance of the railway system, which is expected to bring a paradigm shift in the maintenance practices currently being followed in Indian Railways, the note said.
Around 40,000 passengers per day are expected to travel through this route.
