New Rs 200 & Rs 50 notes Issued- Have you got one yet?

It's true, It's damn true! RBI had recently introduced two new denomination notes of Rs 50 and Rs 200. While the new Rs 50 note is blue in colour, the Rs 200 note is bright yellow. The RBI has said that they will issue new Rs 200 denomination banknotes from select RBI offices and some banks.

There is no notification regarding the ban of old Rs 20 and Rs 50 notes and only rumors regarding this news are flooding on social networking sites such as Facebook,Whatsapp.

This time the government has not demonized the notes as they saw the hardships of the people last year when Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes were demonetized.

The notes were issued in Mahatma Gandhi(New) series bearing signature of Dr. Urjit R. Patel, Governor.
1.The new denomination has Motif of Sanchi Stupa on the reverse, depicting the country’s cultural heritage.
2.The base colour of the note is Bright Yellow.
3.The note has other designs, geometric patterns aligning with the overall colour scheme, both at the obverse and reverse.
4.Dimension of the banknote will be 66 mm × 146 mm

2.The base colour of the note is Fluorescent Blue.
3.The note has other designs, geometric patterns aligning with the overall colour scheme, both at the obverse and reverse.
4.Dimension of the banknote will be 66 mm x 135 mm.
